Unfortunately Not 40 and not 10 million..but obviously much more less at the time. ...see below
Some more interesting quotes from Jack Soden - Chief Executive Officer of EPE - only proofs how bad the financial situation really was, which he would not have said if Elvis died as a rich man as some of you continue to believe:
When Presley died at age 42 of prescription drug abuse and heart disease, his finances were in sad shape
The truth is, for all of Elvis' transcendent mystique, EPE has never been much of a business. When the King died in 1977, his estate was a mess.
Even the Chief Executive Officer of EPE confirms that EPE was almost pleite in 1982.....!
'In February 1982 the probate judge told the trustees of the estate that he feared it would go bankrupt because of taxes and legal fees', says Jack Soden, a Kansas City money manager brought in to advise the Presley family. 'We had to do something right away to make money, and that something was to open up Graceland for tours'.

Also Elvis did not own any shares in Disney either, neither have big land lots in Nashville, not even were the publishing rights huge enough to pay the bills from going bankrupt at the time, as also in 1982!
What more proof is needed - if also EPE's CEO confirms how bad the financial situations really was and confirmed that EPE was almost pleite in 1982 ?
But he was and still is the King !Kommentar

When I read this, I feel ready to believe that he was nearly broke at the time he died, well 1 mio. dollar is not broke at all, but seen in relation to his expences and what he earned throughout his life it is not much, one would have thought Elvis Presley had made some hundreds of millions, when watched his lifestyle.
He shure did make some hundereds of millions in terms of what money was generated through his name in total, but how much he did get in total out of it? It was shurely enough to spend a life without any care about money...but in the end, when everything slipped through his sleepy hands...and he started getting weak...even the financials seem to have ended in a mess. Thank you E-Cat these quotes help to undestand and bring us further in that topic...Ohne Worte!Kommentar

I can foresee the future so bright and light: Greggie-O-Daddy, Gerdi and the good scholar Mysty will be in furious rage and anger to read such unfair, greasy bullshit...
The main man was continuosly blessed with riches, even if in the end sometimes less liquid, but nonetheless he showed us all from where to grab all the honeypot by the great Bartel himself... Attaboy!
Ah well, ain't it yummy, yummy, yummy in his tummy, tummy, tummy?Kommentar

Leider. :traurig:Kommentar

very friendly.

The presented image is one thing, but the real fact mostly quite another.Kommentar
