The Gridiron Restaurant was one of Elvis' favorite places to eat. The Gridiron is located just down the street from Graceland.
It was open 24 hours a day, which made it a perfect destination for Elvis' life style. The Gridiron fixed a cheeseburger just the way Elvis liked it; thick, juicy, and smothered in three slices of cheese and accompanied by lettuce, tomato, and onion.
The establishment which was part of a local chain remained open until recent years. In the past decade, it had declined terribly. Fans still visited the location to sit at Elvis' table.
The location is set to reopen as Big Bill Bar-B-Que.
