Freu mich riesig auf die Venus CD´s!!

Schon toll,was die alles auf den Markt bringen. Bleibt also abzuwarten,bis
FTD eine DO-CD mit den Sachen bringt.

Trotz allem: Danke Venus!! Einfach tolle CD´s mit "neuem" Material!!

Hoffentlich wird mit der Buch-CD-Serie auch wieder weiter gemacht.
Damit wir das Venuslogo auf den Buchrücken irgend wann komplett haben.

Wow, da lacht das Herz !!!

Freude herrscht.

Die " Welcome To The Jungle " CDs sind für mich dass essentiellste, was in letzter Zeit veröffentlicht wurde.

Kommt da etwa noch mehr von anderen Sessions ???

As with the previous two releases from the Jungle Room Sessions this is a must, they are getting better with each release, the sleeve notes are well written, well presented and eye catching.
The recording featured here are from the first session from the Den and are presented here as follows

Bitter They Are Harder They Fall
Take 1 – first released FTD Made In Memphis although here we get a touch more with the count in.
Take 2 – the tape appears to be cut and we just get around 11 or 12 seconds
Take 3 – first released FTD The Jungle Room Sessions
Take 4 – as above
Take 5 – as above
Take 6 – this is missing and remains unreleased
Take 7 – The Master undubbed first released on Elvis Among Friends but nowhere near the quality here.
Take 7 – The Master a different mix as released on Always On My Mind
Take 7 – The Master as released officially

From the first song at this session there appears very little to write home about, but after playing this CD at full blast it is shocking just how good this CD is

Take 2B – first released on the 70’s Masters CD 4 but faded at 3:26 but here we get the full 5:05 minutes

Take 5 – false start remains unreleased
Take 6 – complete take remains unreleased
Take 7 – false start remains unreleased
Take 8 – false start remains unreleased
Take 9 – false start remains unreleased
Take 10 – first released on Today, Tomorrow & Forever box set CD 4
Take 11 – false start
Take 12A – is a false start and long false start
Take 12B – is another false start
Take 13 – another false start
Take 14 – is a complete take
Take 15 – remains unreleased
Take 16 – remains unreleased (but could be the unedited take 17?)
Take 17 – Undubbed Master first released on Elvis Among Friends but again not in this sound quality
Take 17 – Master take as released officially

Here we have to wait until take 11 before we hear something new and its obvious there are problems nailing this track as Elvis points out “What’s that noise?” the next take hes unhappy with the speed “It’s too fast…”. And on take 13 Elvis says “Hey! It seems like someone is holding back on the first part…”.
And finally take 14 Elvis gets it right. From there we jump to the master take and the undubbed version again the sound is just outstanding.




The Last Farewell
Take 1 – is an incomplete take
Take 2 – as released on FTD Jungle Room Sessions but here with count in
Take 3 – another incomplete take
Take 4 – only available still on Elvis Among Friends
Spliced Master – as released officially the takes used were take 4 and 2.

On the final recording from this session we get two near complete unreleased takes, unfortunately the undubbed master remains lost.

From the first Venus release of this session and the short time to the release of this latest one it has certainly been a breath of fresh air to the bootleg scene at the moment.

With the re-issue after re-issue we have all been subject to over the past year or so, all that can be said is if you don’t have any of these CD’s you are missing out big style, and I for one can not wait until the next Jungle CD hits the streets.

If you have been holding back dig out the FTD Jungle Room Sessions, and if you are not left wanting more then perhaps you could give this a miss, but there is a reason why that CD is one of the best selling FTD’s of the series and Vol. 2 is one of the most request releases for a future FTD.
