Elvis : 'Silver Screen Treasures Volume 2 : 1965-1969' has been released. This marvelous 6 CD LP sized box-set is something special, with 5 individual jewel cases, packed inLP sized box*including oversized booklet this set will bring you back to the old days of CD/vinyl packaging. Something deluxe! In this second volume, a SIXTH DISC is included with uncut session parts, an interesting listening!

This release features mostly alternate versions from all of Elvis' movie sessions during 1965-1969. A fantastic release with a lot of surprises, in a fantastic sound and running order.

Disc 5 contains mostly transfers directly from acetates, those were cut straight after or during the sessions, without any altering, mixing or overdubs.

A very limited edition so get it while you can. (Volume 2*is sold out!).

Naja, ich dachte nur an die Fans, die beim Anblick so vieler Outtakes bzw. Spezial-Versionen vermutlich in Verzückung geraten - und Du nimmst ihnen mit Deiner Einschätzung sämtliche Illusionen....

Fachlich kann ich da nicht wirklich mitreden, glaube ich. Dazu kenne ich mich nicht gut genug aus, habe auch nur eine sehr überschaubare Auswahl an Alternate Takes in meiner Sammlung.

Dann ist die Box für dich interessant u. ich würde an deiner Stelle zuschlagen.
Das gilt ja für alle Imports mit bereits bekannten Song Material , irgend welche Fans haben die Versionen eben noch nicht u. deshalb kann für so manchen Fan noch etwas für die eigene Sammlung dabei sein. Keine Frage für diese Zwecke ist eine jedes Re - Release willkommen um eben auch neuen Fans od. Nachzüglern den Zugang zu diversen Out- Takes leichter zu machen.
