Site of Elvis' last stadium concert to close: The Pontiac Silverdome is getting ready for its final bow. The former home of the Detroit Lions most recently hosted 2006 Super Bowl activities, including Pittsburgh Steelers' practices. It's scheduled to close after a February 25th fundraising walk. The Oakland County Walk for Warmth raises money each February to help people pay their heating bills. Pontiac has said the dome would close sometime this month. It hasn't finalized plans about the future of the 132-acre site. The Silverdome has hosted many significant events, from Elvis' last stadium concert in 1975 to the 1982 Super Bowl. Pope John Paul the Second led a Mass there that drew 93-thousand people at the end of his 1987 U-S tour. (News, Source: WLNS)
