Kentucky Rain
Seven lonely days
And a dozen towns ago
I reached out one night
And you were gone
Don't know why you'd run,
What you're running to or from
All I know is I want to bring you home
So I'm walking in the rain,
Thumbing for a ride
On this lonely Kentucky backroad
I've loved you much too long
And my love's too strong
To let you go, never knowing
What went wrong
Kentucky rain keeps pouring down
And up ahead's another town
That I'll go walking thru
With the rain in my shoes,
Searchin for you
In the cold Kentucky rain,
In the cold Kentucky rain
Showed your photograph
To some old gray bearded men
Sitting on a bench Outside a general store
They said "Yes, she's been here"
But their memory wasn't clear
Was it yesterday,
No, wait the day before
So I finally got a ride
With a preacher man who asked
"Where you bound on such a dark afternoon?"
As we drove on thru the rain
As he listened I explained
And he left me with a prayer
That I'd find you

Nicht zu vergessen: First in Line
When they gave out eyes like diamonds
That would shame the stars that shine
My darlin' my darlin'
You were the first in line
When they gave out lips like honey
That hold a new thrill every time
My darlin' my darlin'
You were the first in line
There may be others
that know you longer
Who pledge their hearts to you
But there's no other
could love you stronger
Any stronger than I do
Don't refuse me, say you'll choose me
My darlin' say I’m your darlin'
The first, and the last in lineKommentar

Stimmt Staubi...so ist es mir gestern ergangen mit: It's easy for you :traurig:
You may not mind that it's over
But I've a different point of view
Even though I am shattered
It's easy for you
You don't have to face the music
You don't have to face the crowd
Just go back where you came from
You ain't even proud
I had a wife and I had children
I threw them all away
And now you tell me, you dare to tell me
I should go back to them
What do you think I should say
I found it hard to leave them
Saddest thing I ever had to do
My problems haven't started
And it's easy for you
I had a wife and I had children
I threw them all away
And now you tell me, you dare to tell me
I should go back to them
What do you think, what on earth do you think I should say
If you ever tire of the good life
Call me in a year or two
I've got no choice, I'll forgive you
'Cause it's easy for you
You only have to call me, it's easy for you
You only have to call me, it's easy for you
ich finde übrigens die ganzen Jungle Rooms Sessions sind durchwachsen von einer speziellen Melancholie und Atmospähre ... so intim irgendwie und dann diese Brüchigkeit in seiner StimmeKommentar

I'm Leavin'
(Words & music by Jarrett / Charles)
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
Well I know, if I'd arrived in time to know you
If you had taken the time to show me
I wouldn't be lonely
Where will I go, who will I have to lie beside me
To ease this emptiness inside me
I'm so lonely
Tried so hard each time, each time I just can't make it
Feelin' fast vibrations and I just can't take it
Living from day to day, chasing the dream
I'm, I'm leavin
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
Tried so hard each time, each time I just can't make it
Feelin' fast vibrations and I just can't take it
Living from day to day, chasing the dream
I'm, I'm leavin
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
I'm, I'm leavin
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
Ich glaub' das kann man nicht verstehn, wenn man's nicht gehört hat!
