Len Goodman told the actress, 62, that her rumba "lacked spontaneity ... it was too careful."
Despite walking away with a low score of 21 out of 30,
Elvis' ex told the judges, "I applaud you. You did a great job," as she exited the ballroom.
She said the show had been "life-changing. ... I learned so much about myself and all the things I can do."
She skipped press after the show, but
Usmagazine.com caught up with some of her fellow contestants, who praised Presley.
"I learned that, despite the fame and the fortune, she really is a genuine person,"
Marlee Matlin told
Us. "I respect her as a woman and as a mother ... she was always very concerned about her family, and I am going to miss her."
Added
Kristi Yamaguchi, "She was one of those people who, when they talk, you want to cling on to every word they say."
Karina Smirnoff told
Us Presley was always "very humble. She would always take my breath away ... she was a true inspiration."
"Think about how old," said
Shannon Elizabeth. "She competed just as well as everyone else. And she did the splits — which I can't even do!"
