Finde ich an sich ja ganz nett. Besser als nur eine kleine Pappschachtel mit leblosen Cardboardsleeves. Wenn man die Shows noch nicht hat...:noidea:
Ich denke aber das der Sound jetzt nicht bahnbrechend verbessert wurde.

Kommt das Material jetzt doppelt, denn von " Bootleg Series One " kommen diese Konzerte auch, nur nicht das Boston Konzert und als Bonus gibt´s keine raren Studio Takes.

Egal, ob doppelt oder drei- oder vierfach. Kopiert ist es allemal von irgendeiner Quelle. Warum soll sich jemand die Mühe machen, irgendwas zu "verbessern"? Wir eh alles gekauft.....

Wer es noch nicht hat, sollte zugreifen, ich hab die Gravel Road Ausgaben und wenn ich micht nicht irre sogar die Diamond Anniversary usw. :ups:

Interessant wären diese rare Tracks, aber ob da unveröffentlichtes dabei ist !?

Warum sollte man zugreifen? Wie kommst du zu der Empfehlung? Kostet das Dingens nur 10 Euro?

Wieviel das Teil kostet, weiß ich nicht, aber es gibt sicherlich den einen und anderen, der dieses Material noch nicht hat. :-)

Seh ich auch so. Wir sollten nicht immer nur von uns ausgehen. Da kommen doch noch ab und an Junge nach, die die früheren CDs noch nicht erwerben konnten.
Plus denen, die sie damals halt auch nicht erwischten.

Wir werden ja schließlich nicht gezwungen, alles zu kaufen.

Zugreifen wäre eben für Neulinge eine Option. Ansonsten gibt es auch Leute die ihr Material gerne in kompakten Boxen sammeln.

Fakt ist: Die Shows wurden sicher von bisherigen CDs kopiert und man hat am PC kurz mal etwas am Sound gemacht um es "besser" klingen zu lassen. Die Studio Songs werden alle bekannt sein. Sonst hätte man damit geworben etwas neues zu bringen. Rare ist nicht unreleased. ;-)

Optisch macht sie als Longbox/Mediabook schon etwas her. Mehr auch nicht. Ich hoffe auch das die Boston Garden Show jetzt nicht nochmal irgendwo auftaucht. MRS und Gravelroad bringen die ja jetzt such nochmal raus. Dann hat man noch von zuvor die Venus, FTD und glaube Madison Ausgabe... Reicht...:roll:

From the press release: 'The 1971 Soundboard Collection & More' featuring all known soundboard recordings plus the essential rare and alternate 1971 studio recordings.

This deluxe 6 CD set features recordings from 6 shows recorded during the first Vegas season plus one tour show recorded in Boston Massachusetts.

The first Vegas season of 1971 started on January 26 and finished February 23. During these shows Elvis sang some of the tracks from the just released 'Elvis Country' album. Examples are 'Make The World Go Away', 'There Goes My Everything' and 'Snowbird'. All shows are presented as they were recorded: in glorious original mono sound.

In 1971 Elvis’ record company released three completely new studio albums, five 45 RPM singles, three Camden budget albums and one compilation box-set. A highlight on this set is the only known live version of the (at the time) new song 'Only Believe'. A studio version would be released in June 1971 on the 'Love Letters From Elvis' album, but the song was recorded a year earlier.

The fully packed bonus section included in this set contains not less than 25 rare and official unreleased versions of studio tracks recorded in 1971. This disc features unedited masters, unreleased mono masters and further unedited recordings and alternate takes. The mono masters, like all of the tracks on this box set, are a huge improvement over previous releases. They never sounded better.

The (officially) unreleased version of 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face', initially recorded as a duet with Ginger Holladay, who was there during the sessions with her sister Mary to provide backup vocals, is another highlight on this bonus disc. There are three additional versions of this great song featured as well.

Soll um die 50€ kosten.

Die raren Studio Songs gibt es alle schon u. sind für einen Sammler uninteressant. Wer die Venus CDs hat kann diese vergessen.

Elvis One bringt diese Dinger gerade raus..kopiert von Gravel samt Fotos....jetzt kommen sie wieder...die Boston Show scheint mir auch bekannt...und die Studio Sachen sind von Venus...oder FTD...sorry ..aber für mich ist das....quick-buck C-R-A-P.

Sollen die glücklich werden, die dieses Material noch nicht haben, für mich ist dies nicht interessant.

Gibt es die duets von First Time auch auf offiziellen cd's? Oder auch auf imports (ausser diese neue dan) und noch zu kriegen?

Was für sechs Konzerte plus Zugaben ein netter Preis ist. Eigentlich nur mehr die Hälfte dessen, das man für die ersten Veröffentlichungen löhnen musste.

Dafür brauchen die Produzenten die Musik nur mehr zu kopieren u. schon hat man ein neues Produkt.

Das mit Ginger H. ist seltener.
