Toronto-based music producer RLF Entertainment Properties is moving into features and is developing a pic revolving around former Elvis Presley bodyguard Sonny West.

Ricki Landers Friedlander has dubbed the new film company RLF Victor Prods.. The banner, with offices in Toronto and Los Angeles, plans to produce and fund one or two pics annually.

Cindy Friedlander has been tapped prexy of the new film company, which is developing several other celebrity bio projects in addition to the West project, "Fame & Fortune."

RLF Victor has also hired industry veteran Todd Slater to build its Los Angeles office and exec produce its slate. of films. Slater has held exec posts as Philip Anschutz Film Co., Baldwin Entertainment Group and Huntsman Entertainment.

"Fame & Fortune" will be told through eyes of Presley's friend and bodyguard, who penned with Marshall Terrill the bio "Elvis: Still Taking Care of Business." West will be a producer with the Friedlanders and a co-writer with Cindy Friedlander and Justin Scro.

Ricki Landers Friedlander jointly owns two music companies with partner Bob Gallo - R & B Music Studios and Talent Masters Ltd. in Toronto and New York. RLF Entertainment Productions owns several music catalogues and develops pop bands and single pop artists.

Sonny hatte mir damals von dem Projekt erzählt und ich dachte schon, dass da nichts mehr draus wird, weil man nichts hörte. Ich bin und bleibe gespannt, was da am Ende rauskommt.

Auf die Elvismatters site steht schon das er auch die 'dark-side' von Elvis erzahlt... also Elvis, what happened? in filmversion.

Ich habe von ihm ein dvd, up close and personal, da redet er aber mit mehr respect und liebe uber ihm und da sagt er auch das es ihm leid tut das er an das buch mit gearbeitet hat. Und dan komt er jetzt wieder mit die dirt stories, also das verstehe ich dan nicht so. Oder es muss eine act sein

und dass er auf der dvd zugibt, das alles damals nicht ganz so gemeint zu haben, ist nur logisch.
anders würde sie sich wohl nur schwer verkaufen lassen..

Ist es nicht Red West, der hier und da sagt, dass er heute bereut in dieses Buch involviert zu sein?

Auch, wobei ich glaube das Red nicht mehr zo in die offentlichtkeit ist. Er schreibt glaub ich keine bucher oder redet hier und da uber Elvis, zumindest ich weis kein buch von ihm.

WEST MOVIE UPDATE.



Sandi Miller has sent some information regarding the news that Sonny West is involved in a new biographical movie about his life with Elvis.

In the message she writes; "The most recent Google Alerts have used the words "tell all" in reference to the movie 'Fame and Fortune'. Sonny asked me to please allay any misconceptions regarding this movie. It is not a "tell all" movie.

This is not going to be some sleazy expose, revealing disgusting facts (real or imagined) - it is going to be an honest documentary- type movie. The movie is the "buzz" of the Toronto Film Festival and this is where the original information came from.

Other news media picked it up and immediately started the "sensationalizing" with the "tell all" phrase. Sonny has been assured, the final say in the production of this movie and he will be also working as a producer to assure the movie is made in the best of taste. He, as well as I, wanted you to be aware of this fact."
