Elvis Presley's grandson Ben Presley is about to continue the Presley legacy by signing a record deal with Universal.

Ben, the 17-year-old son of Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie Presley, has been offered a $5 million [£3.3 million] deal by Universal to make up to five albums, reports the Telegraph.

"The music will be nothing like Elvis, nothing like him at all," he said at the Inspiration Awards for Women, at Cadogan Hall, in Belgravia.

The teenager is currently taking a break from making the album, which he hopes to release next year.

"He's a typical 17 year-old," says his spokesman. "He doesn't get up before midday and then grunts at you."

au ja, wenn ein 17jähriger, der bis mittags pennt und danach jeden anmotzt, den richtigen nachnamen hat, dann klappts auch mit dem plattenvertrag

und dann wundert sich die musik-industrie, wenn kein schwein mehr cds kaufen will bzw wenn sich bands andere wege suchen, ihre aufnahmen an den mann zu bringen

Vielleicht wird er unter die name auftreten.Es gibt schon eins änger mit der name Ben Keough

Der Typ heißt "Keough" und nicht "Presley". Erinnert ein wenig an Priscilla's Masche, als wenig talentierte Schauspielerin bei "Dallas" einzusteigen. Ist ihr wohl auch nur aufgrund ihres beibehaltenen Nachnamens ihres Ex gelungen - "Presley" klingt auch nach mehr als "Beaulieu".

Der junge Mann wird - ob talentiert oder auch nicht - gemessen am Talent seines Großvaters schlicht nur scheitern können. Da ist er nicht der Erste in der Familie. Die erste VÖ von Lisa-Marie konnte durchaus gefallen und war nicht bedeutend schlechter als die von der singenden Säge Alanis Morissette.

Her third husband was Nicolas Cage, the Hollywood actor. They were divorced in 2004 and the divorce proceedings lasted longer than the marriage.
