Ernst Jorgensen announced this morning that the "Standing Room Only" CD will be shipped out this week.
With a little luck this double CD will be in-store end of this week. That is good news, as expectations for this release are very high!

Super wieder eine Neue FTD
Habe gelesen das dass eigentlich der Soundtrack
zu On Tour hätte werden sollen

..ich weiss nur das die "Standing Room Only" geplant war aber dann wieder verworfen wurde !! ..veröffentlicht wurde dann die LP "Elvis As Recorded At Madison Square Garden" !? ..oder irre ich mich da !?

So ist es.Es gibt 2 verschiedene Angaben zu diesem Thema.Die 1.es hätte eine Mischung aus den Studioaufnahmen vom März 72 und den Live-Aufnahmen vom Feb.72 sein sollen.
Die 2.da der Film On Tour ursprünglich Standing Room Only heißen sollte war ein LP geplant die Songs aus den 4 mitgeschnittenen Shows zum Inhalt gehabt hätte.Ich neige fast dazu die 2 Möglichkeit als die Richige zu sehen.Man wollte die MSG Shows mit einer LP Veröff. krönen und wenn man sich das Song-Material von On Tour vor Augen führt dann wird einem klar das es hier sehr viele Überschneidungen mit der MSG LP gegeben hätte und darum war es nicht sinnvoll eine 2 Live-LP im gleichen Jahr auf den Markt zu bringen.

Standing Room Only Released

The latest Follow That Dream CD, "Standing Room Only" has been released. The first concept for this album was originally planned in the early seventies of the last century but the album never came out. The FTD label now released their version. It is possible that the version FTD created was never meant to be, but it’s the best way they can present the Las Vegas masters from February of 1972 and the masters and outtakes from the March 1972 sessions at RCA.
